CTIIC Welcomes Dana Madsen as Deputy Director

The Cyber Threat Intelligence Integration Center (CTIIC) welcomes cyber intelligence leader Dana Madsen as the CTIIC Deputy Director. Dana comes to the role from his service as CTIIC’s National Intelligence Manager for Cyber where under his leadership CTIIC published the 2023 Unified Intelligence Strategy for Cyber, oversaw significant investments in cyber capabilities across the Intelligence Community (IC), and supported key initiatives in the National Cybersecurity Strategy.

As Deputy Director, Dana will build on his record of successfully leading IC-wide strategy, investment, and support to national policy, and will drive the IC’s posture in anticipating future cyber threats and vulnerabilities. “Dana Madsen is a uniquely talented leader of the IC cyber mission. He brings a naturally collaborative approach and a depth of subject matter expertise gained from two and a half decades of leading dynamic cyber analysis and operational portfolios,” said Laura Galante, Director of CTIIC and the IC Cyber Executive. “Dana’s passion for exploring the frontiers of the cyber threat — especially as our adversaries increasingly utilize AI advancements to refine and scale their operations — will be a critical asset to his work here at CTIIC and ODNI and of great benefit to the larger cybersecurity and policy community.”

Dana previously led a cyber threat program at the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) that integrated multi-disciplinary expertise to provide strategic warning and opportunity analysis of the global cyber threat landscape. Dana joined CIA’s Senior Analytic Service, CIA’s expert track for analysts, in 2006. Dana joined the IC in 2000 as a cyber threat analyst, following five years of service in the U.S. Air Force.
